"Let's see... Hotaru's story is a kinda complicated one. See, she was the
only daughter of a scientist named Professor Tomoe, but there was a bad accident while she was visiting his lab, and she was
really badly injured. Her dad made a deal with a monster called Pharoah Ninety, and she was saved... by being possessed
by a demon named Mistress Nine. Hotaru didn't know about any of this, and grew up pretty lonely, because the other
children were afraid of her weird healing powers. Little Chibi-Usa was the first person who ever became her friend, and
brought her out of her shell a little, but then Mistress Nine showed up, and things got even weirder. it turns out
that Hotaru was Sailor Saturn, the most powerful and feared of all the Sailor Senshi! She defeated Pharoah Ninety,
uh, died, then came back as a little baby. Then she got magically turned twelve (she used to be fifteen). She's also
been adopted by all three of the Outer Senshi, even though her father seemed okay the last time I saw him. What? Don't try to
blame your headache on me: I warned you it would get complicated!"

The Senshi of Silence, Sailor Saturn, is both
the weakest and strongest of the Sailor Senshi. Although physically very frail, and lacking stamina,
Hotaru possesses enough power to destroy the entire world! Her magical attacks are devastating, but
nearly all result in her own death, as well as that of her enemy. Her main weapon is the Silence
Glaive, a massive polearm with a heavy, G-shaped blade. Due to her lonely childhood, Hotaru
often suffers from depression, and has a near-pathological fear of being abandoned or left by herself.
In addition to her other powers, Hotaru is able to heal injuries by merely placing her hands over
them.

Hotaru Tomoe is the Sailor Senshi of the planet Saturn. In Roman
mythology, Saturn was the child of Uranus, and ruler of the Titans. Originally a god of the harvest, Saturn further
became the god of death and rebirth, and was often pictured holding a scythe - the original "Grim Reaper". It is
also worth noting that in the Sailor Moon manga, Hotaru Tomoe was not just possessed by Mistress Nine after
the fateful lab accident, but also turned into a cyborg - leaving her part human and part machine.
